Red tailed racer caught on my way to one of my favorite herping spots in southern Thailand. Great snakes, not usually biters, but they do let the occasional bite fly. We're letting this one go at night on a small bush so we can get some photos and videos.

These are Naja siamensis or Naja sumatrana, spitting cobras from Thailand. They bite every chance they get, if you are anywhere close to them you risk a bite. These are not snakes to mess with. Here they cover the inside of their aquarium glass with sprays of venom. They have a lot of venom and can spray repeatedly. I watched them spray 3-4 times each. They are especially angry because the heat puts them on edge. All cobras seem to be like this - they have a very short fuse when the temperature is high.

Large, about 5 foot monitor lizard walking across a dirt path in Southern Thailand. These are fairly harmless beasts which look a lot like Komodo Dragons when they are big.

Not sure when it was that I went to the expo. I remember it being my last semester at SUNY Cobleskill. Video 5 of 5. I eventually have to edit all of the 5 videos together once I can find a reliable video editing program that doesn't download unnecessary and or dangerous stuff to my laptop.
