Becky Lynch sends WWE fans wild with cryptic Ronda Rousey tweet after Royal Rumble win. Becky Lynch booked her spot at WrestleMania with her Royal Rumble success on Sunday night.
The Irish lass-kicker had been left disappointed in the opening bout of the main event at Chase Field in Phoenix, Arizona, as she fell short in her battle with SmackDown Live Women's champion Asuka.
A 17-minute back-and-forth encounter between the two was breathless and thrilling in equal measure.
But it was The Man who fell short in her battle with The Empress of Tomorrow, eventually tapping out to the Asuka lock.
But when Lana was unable to take part in the women's Royal Rumble match later in the night due to injury, Lynch marched down the ramp and urged WWE officials to let her take the place of the Ravishing Russian.
She duly got her way after a brief row with Fit Finlay - and duly emerged victorious.
Lynch eliminated bitter rival Nia Jax and friend-turned-foe Charlotte Flair with the final two eliminations.
And after the Rumble match, she declared on social media: "You Know what this means?? #IAMTHEMAN"
And WWE fans believe it can mean only one thing: a meeting with Ronda Rousey at WrestleMania 35 in April.
"Damn awesome" claimed one Twitter user.
"I'm all about this!" said another.
The two had been due to square off at Survivor Series last year, only for injury - a "broken face" suffered at the hands of Jax - to mean Lynch had to pull out.
But Lynch vs Rousey is the match that WWE fans have been waiting for - and could even potentially be the main event at MetLife Stadium on April 7.
